This has been designed to be completely adjustable to suit the person who wears it, whether it is a tight and snug fit, or loose and wrappable. There is no counting involved, cast on or rounds, and includes instructions on when to stop in order to use a whole skein.
The pattern is written for DK, but you can substitute any weight yarn as long as you use a suitable needle size to match your yarn. Using the materials suggested the pattern creates a wonderfully thick layered-feel to the fabric, perfect for those chilly days. I like my neck warmers to stay high up on my neck so the needle size in the pattern creates a strong or stiff fabric since this was my preference, but if you want a looser fabric all you need are needles a few sizes larger.
